“ A Delightful Dining Experience! Rating: I recently dined at Drake’s, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish! The California Cobb salad was absolutely delicious—fresh ingredients, perfectly balanced flavors, and a generous portion that left me completely satisfied. It’s a must-try for anyone who enjoys a hearty, healthy salad. My spouse had the buffalo wrap, which was good but came with a bit too much sauce for his taste. However, the abundance of fried pickles was a delightful surprise and added for a nice appetizer. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who made sure our needs were met without being intrusive. The atmosphere was vibrant and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a casual dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend Drake’s. I can't wait to return and try more of their menu! ”
“ Came here on opening day and the food was great! Since we were sharing with each other we ordered the Juicy Lucy which is two small burgers that have two beef patties, they were very heavy and lived up to their name as being juicy, And we also shared a sushi roll. I can't remember which one it was but it was great. They also use soft ice! We live in the area so we plan on coming back often ”
“ Love love love the sushi menu. I'm vegetarian and they are very flexible with me customizing rolls to avoid eating fish or meat. Everyone is very friendly. They also have a zero proof menu for those of us that do not drink. Not too pricey, same as any other regular date night resturant. My favorites; pretzels with cheese, 'crab' Rangoon crab but instead we just do cream cheese, no crab. Delicious!! ”
“ Delicious BLT with the PERFECTLY toasted bread!! Such a cool vibe here. Love the atmosphere. My drink was soooo good too. I think it was "Sunset" something w rum and coconut creme, pineapple and OJ and maybe something else. Anyway it was so wonderful that it was gone in an instant. We were there later in the night so they were winding down and it was not crowded. ”
“ First expect a wait this early in their new months but our wait was less than expected. All the food came out fresh. Sushi selection is amazing it was hard to chose which to try first. Patty Melt was bigger than expected and good. Fries were good and sweet potato fries good nothing special. Cole slaw was a little on the vinegar side. Blue Smash Burger was exactly that stuff piled on burger smashed it was one tasty mess Waitress did great even though she was super busy. Both Sushi we had were on key and had some heavy flavor to them. Atmosphere was nice 2 different bar areas lots of screens. ”
“ Bushwhacker was not good. Mini cheeseburger was. California Cobb so so. Edit: spoke with the manager Travis and he offered me a refund. Due to me paying in cash he then offered to send by me a gift card which I accepted. I went back today and the food was great. Drinks were delicious. Megan my server was polite friendly and efficient. Travis just so happens to stop at my table just prior to me leaving and asked me how everything was. I told him who I was and we had a good conversation about how I came to be there today. ”
“ It's one of my favorite restaurants in Cookeville. Location is easily accessible to the interstate and shopping. They have outdoor seating with overhead heating for chilly days as well as ample seating indoors. In the winter, and they have a wood burning fireplace in the bar area. The atmosphere is laid back dress is casual. They have several TVs playing all the time. There are two bar areas, one where you can walk up without waiting when there are seats open. The service has always been friendly. However, it seems they have a lot of turnover in staffing. We haven't eaten anything yet on the menu that we haven't enjoyed. They offer lots of options, including sushi. The cost of the food is comparable to other restaurants in the area and is usually delivered pretty quickly unless they are really busy. I recommended trying this when your in the area. ”
“ I’ve been to Drake's multiple times, and I always come back for their Sriracha wings. The dry rub is great—just the right amount of heat, and they’re always crispy. Their pretzels are also consistently on point, with a queso cheese sauce and mustard that pair really well. That said, after so many visits, I’ve noticed that their food service tends to be on the slower side. However, the staff at the bar are always friendly and work as fast as they can to deliver drinks, especially on a busy night. ”
